Relight your life. Replace incandescent bulbs with compact flourescent light bulbs and save on your annual lighting bill. Go paperless. Elect to receive your billing statements, newsletters, and magazines online. Eliminate junk mail. Call the toll free number on the mail piece and ask that your name be removed from the mailing list. Fill 'er up. Run full loads of clothes and dishes. Most of the energy used is to heat the water, so running smaller loads wastes water and energy. Use a programmable thermostat. There's no reason to heat or cool an empty house, so set your thermostat to kick in when someone is home. Remember even small changes by one person can make a difference, so start adopting some of these tips today for a greener future!
